Chanel Rouge Allure Pirate lipstick

My first Chanel lipstick that my sister very kindly bought me for Christmas! Chanel Rouge Allure in pirate (£25) is a shade of red that suits pale skin and has a smooth and satiny finish. This lipstick is creamy yet bold and long-lasting - 3 glasses of wine later it hasn't budged. It isn't drying at all and is perfect for Winters dry, chapped lips - the only lipstick I can think of that comes close to it is the Rimmel Kate range which is a cheaper alternative at £5.49. Having a Chanel lipstick in your make up bag is an essential -it oozes femininity and luxury. It's the ultimate red lippie for me.

The packing is also amazing - the lipstick clicks open and out pops the perfect lipstick trimmed in gold, no more losing your lipstick lid! I will 100% be repurchasing Chanel lipsticks and i'm hoping 'insolente' will soon be mine.

Chanel Perfection Lumière

As far has foundations go this is the best that I have ever tried. This Chanel foundation is a little on the pricey side retailing at £36 (30ml) in House of Fraser, but once you try it your relationship with your current foundation will turn into a past love affair.

Chanel Perfection Lumiere has a flawless finish, lasts up to 15 hours and is SPF 10. Coverage in every way. But that's not all, the scent of this foundation is lovely - a quality that other foundations lack. My oily/dry skin normally leads to a cakey, flaky finish but not with this, the liquid applies perfectly to give a smooth, natural and glowy finish. The price is justifiable because a little goes a long way - one pump will give you light coverage, and two pumps will see you through those bad skin days. I've had my bottle for 3 months and I don't think i'm halfway through yet.

Before Chanel I tried Rimmel wake me up and contrary to all the hype in the blogosphere, it didn't live up to my expectations. Yes, it gave a dewy finish but there was too much shine for my liking and the coverage disappeared into a patchy mess. Chanel Perfection Lumiere however, I cannot fault, there will be a designated Chanel foundation shaped spot in my make up bag for a long time.

I wear 30 beige for my pale/light complexion. Make sure you pick up a sample from a Chanel store/concession and give it a try before you buy - however, I can assure you this will ultimately end up with a full size bottle sitting on your dressing table. What I will say is if you are prone to dropping make up, you're going to have to be a little more careful with this bottle.
